About contact upload

Contact upload is an optional feature that allows us to check which of your contacts in your device’s address book are also Linkme users. It also means we can update your Linkme contact list when your contacts who aren’t using Linkme yet sign up later. We care about your privacy and we don’t share your contact list with other companies.

When you use contact upload and grant Linkme access to your device address book, Linkme will access and upload the phone numbers in your address book typically daily, but this depends on various factors including how often a user uses Linkme, including those of Linkme users and your other contacts. We don’t collect any of the other information that could appear in your device address book including names, email addresses, etc.

You can control the contact upload feature from your device-based settings. If you choose not to use Contact Upload you can still communicate with people who have Linkme but certain functionality will be limited.

This does not mean that all examples of that category of personal information were in fact sold, but reflects Our good faith belief to the best of Our knowledge that some of that information from the applicable category may be and may have been shared for value in return.

We do not sell the personal information of Users We actually know are less than 16 years of age, unless We receive affirmative authorization (the "right to opt-in") from either the User who is between 13 and 16 years of age, or the parent or guardian of a User less than 13 years of age. Users who opt-in to the sale of personal information may opt-out of future sales at any time. To exercise the right to opt-out, You (or Your authorized representative) may submit a request to Us by contacting Us.
